Palestinian Hunger Strike!

What more do you want Israel and where the hell is America, the Great, when you need them???

Thank God it ended, but did you know there was a massive hunger strike by the Palestinian prisoners held in these stupid Israeli camps? I'm appalled and in disbelief that we can see such injustice happening and not do shit. Why are we always meddling in places where we're not wanted, but not intervening where people are crying for peaceful American intervention. Palestinian government has already declared peace and a wanting for mediation yet we still allow Israel to do whatever they deem fit even if it's massacring thousands a day. Is it because Israel is our friend and we let friends to as they please or is it because Palestine can't give us anything valuable? Either excuse is pathetic. I can already imagine America saying, "Well police officer, I didn't stop my best friend Mike, Israel, from raping this chick, Palestine, because he's my friend and friends don't throw each other under the bus!" BULLSHIT
The Palestinian prisoners banded together and began a hunger strike asking for more humane rights, such as more visitation hours, less confined cells, and more. These don't seem like outrageous demands nor do I see why many of these prisoners should be incarcerate in the first place. Israel is just mean and we're meaner for sitting there and poking are noses. Poor people finally got what they wanted because Red Cross intervened and said they couldn't allow such deaths, so now Israel gave in, but many of the participants are left scarred for life. Many can't take a gulp of water due to grave body damage and all for what? Human rights that should have never been restricted to begin with. I'm just glad it's over, but sadly the battle was won but the war is still not over.

When did the Animosity Begin? Iran with America

It wasn't always this bad my friends. This relationship with Iran and America. Their roller coaster relationship dates back to the early 1900's and they were once good pals who could count on each other. A lot of shady conducts and bad business throughout the years destroyed the relationship they once had and now we have this, a deep animosity that could turn into war.
This is a brief summary that highlights quickly the important events that lead to today's Iranian and American relationship. First, imagine an Iran quite like England where there was a monarchy and democratic government co existing. Then you have to understand the insecure stability Persia went through by being one of the world's biggest powers and then becoming this pushover geek that all other countries wanted a piece of. They were truly vulnerable and weak when the Islamic era spread like fire. The ideology sounded like a solution so they, like many others, converted; however the government remained intact.
It was only after a problem that began with England that things took a turn for the worse with America and Iran. You see, what happened was that Iran has all this oil that England wanted to cash in on so they go to the shah of the time and propose this stupid deal to establish oil refineries in Iranian land, extract all this oil and market it to the world. The catch was that Iran would get a percentage of the profits. Now, you see where the stupidity lies, right? Why allow someone to make money from your assets and not do it yourself and make more money. It's kind of like the shah allowing England to abuse Iran with him getting a fair cut under the table.
This causes an uneasy feeling to the Iranian people and they demand independence from their oil, so they switch the leaders and make it happen. England was cut off from the deal and forced to go home with no oil. This pissed them off like you can't imagine, so they go and begin this unnecessary fire with Iran by telling America that Iran can't be trusted and how we're all just COMMUNISTS, which is a big fat lie! America listens to England and sends CIA agents to Iran, who somehow help produce a revolution within the people establishing another shah.
This Shah eventually didn't satisfy the people once again causing restlessness and disparity. It's not Iranians being picky but leaders never truly listening to the people's needs and all these powers just taking advantage of their vulnerability. This unsettling Iran eventually lead to the big hostage situation with the American embassy in Tehran, which I mentioned in my firsts blogs. The situation was indeed horrible and not justified at all, but I can understand how the people of that time so that as a wake up call to America to get the fuck out of their business.
America did leave, but the relationship between the two never healed. It was quite evident after that that Iran wanted nothing to do with America and America didn't feel obliged to stay as well. It didn't help the Israel was giving them sass as well, but that's a whole other story. The point is to see Iran and the little guy who always wanted respect and then turned rebel. Now we see a proud, arrogant, stubborn, Iran not willing to back down and unafraid of anything, but there is reason to all this madness and it's never smart to judge without knowing all the facts.

Arafat's Body Exhumed

Recently, there has been speculation about Yasser Arafat's death whether he died from natural causes or he was poisoned 8 years ago. Yasser Arafat is known to be Palestinian leader, and was the leader of Fatah political party. He was seen as a freedom fighter, and at times viewed as terrorist by Israelis for many bombing incidents that has been happening in the past.

Many has question the actual reason of his death, whether he died from natural causes or maybe he died from poisoning. His body was later then exhumed for causes of his death. According to Ashely Fantz of CNN"Tests are being performed on those samples for the presence of polonium-- a toxic, radioactive element found on some of his personal belongings earlier this year." He died at the age of 75 in Paris in 2004, and the cause of his death remained unsolved. The Palestinian swears that the Israeli is involved with Arafat's death, but according to Kershner from New York Times stated that the Israeli have denied that they are involve with his death, and the accusation that they have received are untrue.

I hope that they can put this aside because once false accusation are made, I am almost certain that it will cause more tension between the two countries that has been fighting for so long. I believe trying to solve their current issue is far more important then finding out the cause of Arafat's death because he had passed a way years ago, and they should let him rest in peace instead of adding more issue to their current problems.

"I ask you, being an Iraqi person, that if you reach a verdict of death, execution, remember that I am a military man and should be killed by firing squad and not by hanging as a common criminal."

Get Over It Israel!!! Sharing is Caring

Not another Israel vs. Palestine rant, Well YES!
I have a huge problem with this issue you can't even imagine. Not for the typical things that they argue about or the religious bull crap the get tossed around, simply for the fact that Israel is being greedy and THE BIGGEST HYPOCRITES of the world.
Now, that may have sounded a little harsh right? However; this is what I mean... years ago there were these innocent people being tortured, slaughtered, and isolated simply for being a certain race. These people were placed in camps, forced to wear stars to indicate if they were a certain race, and massacred for no reason but hate alone. The man behind all this was of course Hitler and these poor innocents were the JEWS!!! Remember?
Well, fast forward to now and the same shit is happening except now the Jews are tormenting the Arabs in Palestine. Ironic huh? You would think out of all people, they would have learned and if they want to use the bible as their only argument to do what they do, then I can safely say that Israel has always been a people of inconsistency since God apparently gave them plenty of opportunities to take the land and be what he wanted and they always resorted to other things other then him. Hypocrites I say!
How can they do what Hitler did to them years ago? Where does this evil madness end? All for land? Why can't we just share it? I know the Arabs are okay with that, but that's not good enough for Israel because they want MORE, MORE, MORE. I'm sure God would disapprove of the mistreatment they are bestowing upon Palestinians because God loves all his children. Who made them the cherry on top?
Here are some facts so you can get the picture:
Israel forces Palestinians....
1. to carry different colored ID cards to indicate their race
2. to live in a certain, restricted zone, which by the way is surrounded by big tall walls so they can't escape.
3. to pay unnecessary fees to use the same roads that the Israelis can use for free
4. to remain quite or else get killed by the many troops that supervise them day and night

5. The zone indicated for Palestinians are camps and is 1 out of 20 times smaller than the land indicated for Israel, when the population of Palestinians is 80% more than Israel's.
Mean huh?

6. The only argument Israel has is their Holy book which isn't valid anymore since it's contradictory to the other Holy books and their own book show how they disobeyed God countless of times so doesn't the contradict the reward God had made for them?

7. There's enough land to split right down the middle where both peoples can live with space, comfort, and peace.

I call this never ending battle ridiculous, illogical, evil, stupid, and selfish. I pray for the day this torment ends.
Why were we all ready to jump and save the Jews when they were being persecuted by Germany, but blind ourselves from the same situation with Palestine? I guess the kind of makes us the bigger hypocrite.

A Broken Middle East

With all of the political and social disturbance in the Middle East, it is easy for people, especially here in America to get the wrong idea about the culture and background of the nations that make it up. The misinformed public chooses to make assumptions that most there are Islamic extremists that will beat an improperly dressed woman or kill anyone who don’t believe in what they believe in. However, if we take a look at more educated Islamic nations such as Indonesia and Turkey, we find a totally different type of government, a much better one. This brings me to my main point, that education is what lacks in the Middle East and plays an important key role in the problems happening daily along with outside intervention.
Afghanistan can be used as a perfect example. In 1979 the Soviets invaded and begun a 9 year war on the people of Afghanistan. This war left an estimated 1.5 million Afghanis dead, and most of their villages and cities in shambles. How can people educate their children when there are always constant battles being fought in their back yard? Most could even hardly feed their own families, let alone educate them. Furthermore, even before the war the system in Afghanistan wasn’t the best around. It is easy under these circumstances for an extremist form of government or dictatorship to take over and teach the people to hate and kill. Ignorance and poor education can easily persuade a people to whatever end you choose.
In other parts of the Middle East, such as the well known Israel you can see a different type of battle.  It is an age old conflict that has to do with territory rights, religion and outer interference. After World War II, the Jewish people were given a piece of land to start new. Unfortunately, this brought conflicts with the people already inhabiting this area. Although this is a small piece from an enormous problem, it shows how unfortunate events take place another part of the Middle East. With so many religions and governmental influences, it isn’t hard to see that the problems happening there don’t come as a surprise.
We should all recollect the history books speaking of a different Middle East. A glorious one, filled with great scholars, ingenuity and military might. It is easy now for us to look with scorn upon that side of the world now in days. However it is just as easy to look with understanding and love to a once great part of the world. What is happening now, all of the unrest and war, is a direct result of wars and foreign intervention leading to desperation and poor education. I strongly believe that it is up to other more developed nations to teach these people at least to the point where they can make crucial decisions on their own nation’s future.

Iran's Damned Currency: The Aftermath

It's no news to anyone that Iran has been the number one target for most Big Dogs such as America, Israel, England and so forth, but this time the tension between all these countries has affected not only the citizens of Iran, but Iranian Americans as well.
I'm half Iranian by my father and he's a well established architect in Iran and an American citizen. He recently came back to the states a few weeks ago from being away for 3 years. I was so excited to not only reunite with my father but to finally be old enough to enjoy the fruits of his labor since he always promised to return with triple the money. I waited years for this, the day that he would come with tons of cash and I, a starving college student, finally get a chance to relax with the comfort of my dad's financial support.
So here's the BIG ISSUE: Iran's currency has plunged to the floor in comparison to the dollar by 40%. This has caused disparity with the people in Iran because now all their property and assets are worth spit and now there are under the table money traders taking advantage of innocent people. You may ask why had this occurred? Well, obviously the government of any country never takes blame so the Iranian government blames the West for laying sanctions and blockades on them, while others, including the Iranian people blame their own government for mishandling the money.
I believe the two sides have reasons to their arguments because it is a fact that Iran's way of managing money has been corrupt for years and it was bound to inflate sooner or later AND the government has a right to point the finger to our government for placing sanctions of them, disabling them to trade.
Now my dad can't bring his hard earned money to the states and even if he did, the money would be worth shit. I don't blame him for coming empty handed but imagine all the people in Iran who don't know what to do. Riots are occurring, the people are desperate, and I smell another rise from the people approaching.
It's also rumored that even parliament is planning on ending Ahmadinejad's term early because maybe that would end the sanctions that were placed to begin with. That would be a solution, but truthfully the main issue isn't the president. The source of the problem is the government's lack of control and the nosy bullies who can't mind their own business, America and Israel. Thanks a lot for making my life more complicated!
